October 21st update

I just finished Gerald Lund's new book "The Undaunted" last night. I'm so sad it's over - I loved the book - all 800 pages. Yes, I've been reading it for half of Ashlie's life now. :) The funnest thing about the book is that there are Deckers' mentioned all throughout it, which are from my grandma John's family line. I found a website that has great photos of the significant places on the trail that are mentioned in the book. It is www.thefurtrapper.com. Click on "Bluff Utah" on the left hand side (you have to scroll down a while). The pictures really bring all of those places to life after reading the book. There are so many amazing stories of Heavenly Father's hand helping to assist them on the trail. The pioneers were so amazing and Heavenly Father truly does watch out for us all. I'm so glad I finally know this story!
These are a couple pictures from the website: (Hole in the Rock)and San Juan Hill Road (the animals were so exhausted by this point that one of the horses died as soon as it made it to the top of this hill)

This past month I got to see my sister Julianne again & her baby Paxton for the first time. This is a photo of Paxton and Ashlie side by side after we picked them up from the airport.

Then, we got to see my sister Kim's new baby, Ethan. It was so fun to have the three babies here!! Lucky Ashlie has tons of cousins born the same year as her: Zachary, Lily, Olivia, Paxton, and Ethan. I have yet to meet Zachary & Olivia, but we can't wait until the Woodward babies get to see each other for the first time. Here is Kim with Ethan, me with Ashlie, and Julianne with Paxton.

We had a fun Halloween party with the Memmott family this past weekend. Brad was a graduate, I was a witch, Megan was an indian, Paige was a witch, and Ashlie was a zebra. I felt like everyone dressed up super good this year. Here are some photos of the family:

Who pulls this costume off better you think? I think Brad looks so official! You look great in that Davis High cap sweetheart!

I'm adding this at 10:00pm because Megan just lost her 8th tooth an hour ago! I didn't think her tooth was that loose! She and I were walking up the stairs and she said, "Tooth! Tooth!" and we get to the kitchen and she smiles and shows it to Brad and I. Lucky for us the tooth fairy happened to have something lying around! By the way, Ashlie rolled over for the first time yesterday, from her tummy to her back 3 times!

Holy Cow It's Cold!!!

October sure ushered itself in in a very cold way! It was 36 degrees this morning when I took Megan to school. We got snow at our house in Heber yesterday. Here are some pictures from my view at my house. It's so pretty, but SOOOO cold. I have to remind myself that it's a blessing to live somewhere where we experience all of the seasons. I feel bad that my sister Julianne is visiting me from Arizona this week. It'll be a shock to her system!
